- I'd say that if you're failing to connect on more then %5 of the
- calls you've got a definate problem, but before you return the modem, you
- might want to see if you can work around that problem. First, do yu know
- what type of modems your ISP is using? Have you tried to connect to some
- other types of modems (eg some local BBSs)? Have you tried disabling the
- 3429 symbol rate (assuming the Penril has a command TO disable that symbol
- rate)? Does the modem return any info on WHY it wasn't connecting?
